A typical season is between 12 - 20 weeks and competing every week is possible but may not be productive. Athletes typically compete 10 or more times during a season before the major championships of that year, for Jessica that would mean trying to fit in around 60 events.
At three or more competitions a week when would you fit in any training and avoid injuries. These should be the main focus of any training plan.
It is great that a Heptathlete is also one of the best British performers ever in single events, but the harsh truth is that we may never see just how good Jessica is, or can be in single event.
